Loyola Law School (LLS) will be offering courses during the Intersession that will be available for both students and legal professionals. A robust selection of academic courses taught by top faculty and leaders in the profession will be available. We are pleased to offer current students and law school graduates the opportunity to network throughout the Intersession as well as earn MCLE credit for their course participation.
The Intersession program also welcomes visiting students from law schools throughout the U.S. Visiting students will be able to earn course credit while experiencing Loyola’s urban-contemporary campus, designed by the award winning architect, Frank Gehry, and enjoying all that downtown Los Angeles has to offer.

Tuition: Student Accounts
MCLE Credit: MCLE Hours to Units equivalencies are below.
- 1 unit course - 13 hours of MCLE
- 2 unit course – 26 hours of MCLE
Who can take Intersession courses?
- Loyola Day and Evening Program students (limited to upper division students)
- Loyola LLM Program students
- Students currently enrolled in a JD, LLM or SJD programs at other qualified institutions
- Working professionals who have successfully completed a JD program (members of the bench and bar)
- LLS students will be limited to earning two units during Intersession
Application Fee: There is no application fee for the Intersession Program
Final Examinations: No examinations or reading period will be built into the schedule.
Grading: All grading will be pass/fail.
Degree Completion: LLS students who are short units at the end of the Fall semester may take courses during the Intersession to earn those units but will not be able to sit for the February bar exam.
Add/Drop Period: Participants may not add a class after the first meeting of each course. Enrollees may drop at any time, but will be subject to the refund policy established by the Office of Student Accounts.
Attendance: If a student misses one class during Intersession, the student automatically will be dropped from the course. Students will be subject to the refund policy established by the Office of Student Accounts.
