The Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution is both a law school clinical program and a community mediation program of Loyola Law School (LLS), a non-profit 501(c)(3), ABA accredited, full-time law school, which was established in 1920, and is located near downtown Los Angeles. LLS is a part of Loyola Marymount University (LMU). LMU, LLS and the LCCR are committed to community service and non-discrimination.

Edwin Salguero is a bilingual Senior Conflict Resolution Associate/Mediator.  Edwin received his BA in Sociology from California State University Northridge. While attending school, he worked as a Special Education Assistant for LAUSD assisting children with learning and emotional disabilities.

2021 Mediation Cases

The Probate Case referred to LCCR by ​the judge. The parties (paternal grandmother and maternal aunt) had been trying to resolve ​their case that had been on-going for almost a year. The minor in this case was ​the only party represented by counsel. The difficulties ​of the case were not only the underlying needs and emotions, ​but also that the parties only spoke Spanish ​and were at an impasse.

Landlord/Tenant Options Counseling Project

In response to the Eviction Moratorium, Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution (LCCR) began preparing for an onslaught of cases in November of 2020 by creating LANDLORD/TENANT Options Counseling Project and the Landlord Tenant Options Counseling Tool anticipating the end of the moratorium was set in January of 2021.
