As recognized in the Variety 2022 Legal Impact Report, LMU Loyola Law School alumni continue to make their mark among Hollywood’s most successful and respected attorneys, fighting and winning for their clients in the courtroom and at the negotiating table.

Variety’s 2022 Legal Impact Report listed numerous LLS graduates among the legal professionals who have made an impact in entertainment this year by supporting artists and studios in their endeavors. Loyola Law School is one of the most well-represented law schools on Variety’s report with 14 alumni featured from the list of 216 attorneys. During a year when the entertainment industry is continuing to evolve under the pressures of shifting consumption models, these attorneys ensured their client’s interests were fairly represented as production and delivery methods change to meet audience demand.

Variety honored these attorneys at their annual invite-only Power of Law Breakfast, presented by City National Bank, on April 20 where Joshua Grode ’91, CEO of Legendary Entertainment, participated in a keynote conversation with Variety’s Claudia Eller, Editor-in-Chief. Grode discussed Legendary Entertainment’s current slate of movies, how they have managed to flourish as a leading mini-major studio and shared his storied history in the world of blockbuster movies.

The law school recognized 2022's honorees in a one-page ad featured in Variety's April edition. LLS alumni on this year's list include:
