2019 Grand Reunion

More than 500 LMU Loyola Law School alumni and friends joined together for the 2019 Alumni Grand Reunion at the SLS Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday, Nov. 14. The event celebrated all who bring distinction and honor to Loyola Law School.

“We have made great strides in becoming a law school ready to take on the social justice and other legal challenges of the next 100 years,” said Dean Michael Waterstone in his welcome remarks. “Tonight, I looked forward to joining you as we take a few hours out of our busy lives to recognize the value of your collective accomplishments in advancing the law school’s mission.”

At the event, LLS presented the Distinguished Alumna Award to Gretchen Stockdale ’02, the Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel at Pilgrim Media Group, a Lionsgate Company. And the Alumni Association Board of Governors Recognition Award was presented posthumously to Felipe Plascencia ’93, a nationally recognized trial attorney, political activist and beloved Loyola alumnus. His wife, Yolanda Plascencia, accepted the award.

"My commitment to Loyola is sincere. I loved being at Loyola," said Stockdale, a frequent mentor of LLS' Entertainment Law Fellows and member of the LLS Board of Directors. "Loyola is rocking and rolling."

Blythe Kochsiek '12, president of the LLS Alumni Association Board of Governors, delivered the welcome remarks and presented the Appreciation of Service Award to past-president Alan Tippie '79.
