How did you land your summer job?
I found the application for the Law in Tech Diversity Collaborative on 12twenty. I applied through 12twenty and was assisted by the Career Development Office during the interview process.
What is the most interesting part of your job?
The most interesting part of my role has been the variety of assignments I’ve gotten to work on, including a pro bono project. It’s also been great connecting with other summer associates. The firm also organized a mock M&A activity for us in conjunction with the Palo Alto office that has been engaging and a lot of fun!
What new legal skill have you acquired during your summer job?
I've learned how to run redlines effectively and gained experience reading a corporation’s certificate of incorporation and bylaws.
What bit of legal knowledge have you been able to display?
I've been able to apply my legal research skills by effectively using Westlaw and LexisNexis to support several of my assignments.
How has Loyola helped you map your career path?
Loyola has been a great help in introducing me to different career paths and explaining the benefits of each. My counselor has been amazing to work with, helping me with the practical aspects of the recruiting process, such as resume development and interview preparation.
