LLS Campus Ministry offers a variety of opportunities to foster personal and spiritual growth as well as opportunities to foster a more inclusive faith community.
First Reflections - At the beginning of each week, LLS students come together on Zoom to read and to share initial reflections on the upcoming Sunday scriptures.
Ignatian Heritage Month - Each November, LMU celebrates our Ignatian heritage with special events that help foster a greater understanding of our LMU mission and identity. LLS Campus Ministry collaborates with LMU Mission and Ministry in sponsoring these opportunities.
Jesuit Alumni of LLS - Each semester, alumni of Jesuit schools who are part of the LLS Community gather for lunch and to be in conversation with a special guest speaker.
LLS Campus Ministry News - At the beginning of each week, an e-newsletter is sent to the LLS Community highlighting spiritual, pastoral, and cultural matters which are of significance for the LLS Community.
Mass and Breakfast Conversations - Four times during the academic year, LLS students, faculty, staff, alumni and LLS friends come together for an early morning Mass in the Chapel of the Advocate, followed by breakfast and a conversation with a guest speaker in Burns Lounge. This is a collaboration of LLS Campus Ministry and LLS Community Relations.
Meet and Greet Give-Away Tables - Several times during the academic year, LLS Campus Ministry sponsors a table at Merrifield Hall North to meet the Chaplain and to give-away snacks, pamphlets, books, etc.
Monthly Mass in Remembrance of Recently Deceased LLS Alumni - Each month recently deceased LLS alumni are remembered by name and a few biographical points during a Thursday, 12:00 p.m. Mass, in the Chapel fo the Advocate. Surviving family members of the recently deceased alumni are invited to attend the Mass. This is a collaboration of LLS Campus Ministry and Alumni and Family Engagement.
Pastoral Counseling - The Chaplain is available for short-term, confidential, one-to-one meetings to assist an LLS Community member through a conflict or crisis.
Spiritual Direction/Spiritual Accompaniment - The Chaplain is available for an ongoing, confidential, one-to-one meetings to accompany a member of the LLS Community in their faith journey, prayer, and discernment.
Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola - This is a school of prayer based on a series of prayers, meditations, and contemplations to help people deepen their relationship with God and to be of greater service.
Challenge/Desafio - This is a 36-week daily reflection program beginning in early Fall.
Meeting Christ in Prayer - This is an 8-week daily prayer and meditation program offered during the Season of Lent.
Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL)/19th Annotation Reteat - This is an individually-directed, 6-8 month daily prayer, meditation, and contemplation program that is arranged with the Chaplain.
