Commencement 2026

For your convenience, the LLS Bookstore has partnered with Herff Jones to provide you with all your graduation needs. Order your graduation items for convenient delivery to your home at herff.ly/loyolalaw. 

Order your regalia no later than Sunday, March 8 at 8:59 pm PT, by going to herff.ly/loyolalaw to ensure bookstore pick up for LLS's in-person commencement ceremony. Pick up will be available starting Monday, April 20^th at After LLS.

Graduates must wear official regalia assigned to the degree they expect to receive. For candidates for JD, LLM, and JSD, the May 2026 ceremonies will be organized for activities, in part, by the regalia they are wearing.

• Doctoral of Juridical Science (JSD) Candidates:

Wear an LMU crimson robe with LMU gray velvet and LMU blue trim, along with an LMU crimson tam with a silver tassel and an LMU crimson hood trimmed in purple velvet.  Additionally, there will be an LMU Blue sash with LMU crimson edging that has the LLS Shield embroidered along with a medallion.

• Master of Laws/Master of Laws Tax (LLM):

Wear an LMU crimson robe with LMU gray velvet and LMU blue trim, along with an LMU crimson tam with a silver tassel and an LMU crimson hood trimmed in purple velvet.  Additionally, there will be an LMU Blue sash with LMU crimson edging that has the LLS Shield embroidered along with a medallion.

• Juris Doctor (JD) Candidates:

Wear an LMU crimson robe with LMU gray velvet and LMU blue trim, along with an LMU crimson tam with a silver tassel and an LMU crimson hood trimmed in purple velvet. 

• Master of Tax Law (MT) Candidates:

Wear a black gown, black mortarboard cap with a black tassel, and black hood trimmed in purple velvet. Additionally, there will be an LMU blue stole with the embroidered LLS Shield. 

• Master of Science in Legal Studies (MLS) Candidates:

Wear a black gown, black mortarboard cap with a black tassel, and black hood trimmed in purple velvet. Additionally, there will be an LMU blue stole with the embroidered LLS Shield.
