Loyola Law School has incorporated the PaperCut system for student printing, scanning and copying documents. The printers are located in the computer lab on the 2nd floor of the Rains Library.

Printing from your laptop using either Web Print or the PaperCut Client app works only while you are on campus and connected to LMU-Wireless. Laptop printing is not available on LMU-Guest or Eduroam.

Web Printing VS. Laptop Printing

You may print directly from your laptop, either Windows or MAC, using PaperCut with either of the following two methods.

  • Web Printing allows you to print directly using only a Web Address, however this method is limited in the types of files that can be printed and will always print double sided
    1. Go to http://printserv.lls.edu:9191/user or http://printserv.lls.edu:9191/. If prompted, select Allow, Proceed, or Continue to trust lls.edu.
    2. Sign in with your MyLLS email and password, then select Web Print from the left menu.
    3. Select Submit a Job, then choose a printer:
      Black and white: printserv.lls.edu\Library-BlackandWhite-printers (virtual)
      Color: printserv.lls.edu\Library-Color-Printers (virtual)
All library printers are in the second-floor CRC computer lab.
    4. Select Print Options and Account Selection. Enter the number of copies you need, then select Upload Document.
    5. Drag your file into the upload area or select Upload from Computer. Then select Upload and Complete.
    6. When the status shows Held in a Queue, release your job from any CRC lab printers. Black-and-white printers are at the back of the room; the color printer is left of the stained-glass window.

Alternative option: If Web Print is too slow or does not meet your needs, install the PaperCut app and printer on your laptop, similar to the CRC workstation setup. See the laptop printing section below for instructions.

  • Laptop Printing supports printing for almost any file type. To use this option, you must download and install the PaperCut Client app and the appropriate printers for your laptop’s operating system, either Apple macOS or Microsoft Windows. Use the PDF instructions that match your laptop’s operating system.
