Spotlight Q & A
Where is your hometown?
I grew up in the South Bay and still call it home today. I live there with my husband and our two kids.
What do you enjoy most about working at Loyola Law School's Career Development Office?
The people, hands down. I feel lucky to be part of a team that’s smart, supportive, and genuinely invested in student success. It is incredibly rewarding to help students grow into confident professionals and watch them land opportunities they once thought were out of reach.
What was your life like before coming to LLS?
After graduating from law school in 2003, I spent three foggy years in San Francisco (brrrr!) before moving back to LA. Then, I worked as a legal recruiter for a few years before making the leap to law school career services in 2007. I spent 11 great years at Southwestern Law School before joining Loyola in 2018 - and it’s been a great fit ever since!
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
“The only stupid question is the one you don't ask.” It’s simple, but it’s stuck with me. Asking questions shows curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn - qualities that never go out of style.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Most weekends, you’ll find me on the sidelines at one of my kids’ games. When we can escape LA, we love heading to Park City. Whether we’re skiing, fishing, trying new restaurants, or playing poker by the fire, we make the most of our mountain time.
What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you?
I got my hunting license a few years ago.
What’s your favorite cuisine?
Tough call, but it’s a tie between sushi and Persian food. That said, I will never say no to a good bánh mì.
What is your go-to type of music or favorite artist?
I am a big country music fan, but I also have a nostalgic love for '90s and early 2000s hip hop.
