Spotlight Q & A
Where is your hometown?
I’m an LA native born and raised in Inglewood
What do you enjoy most about working at LLS CDO?
I enjoy being able to share joy with the students and alumni we work with. It makes me happy when students share that they got a job offer or campus achievement. It’s wonderful to be able to celebrate the accolades of our students!
What was your life like before coming to LLS?
Before coming to LLS I was a recent graduate who was still trying to find my footing outside of my institution. I was still working in education but at a high school as a program leader organizing enrichment activities and programming.
What's the best career advice you ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to follow my passion. It’s a bit cliche but it continues to help guide me forward in my career.
What advice would you give to a student just starting law school?
Law school can be a very intense and time consuming part of your journey to becoming an attorney so I think the best advice I can give is to find the time to take moments for yourself. Even if that is something as simple as taking fifteen minutes between studying to take a breath and do something that you enjoy.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am a habitual hobby starter so I spend a lot of my free time trying to get into different hobbies to mixed results. Recently I tried crocheting and was not very good at it so I’m trying to find a good use for all the yarn I bought! Outside of that I enjoy rollerskating, playing video games, and trying local coffee shops.
What's your favorite cuisine?
I enjoy Caribbean food a lot. There’s never a bad time for rice and peas!
