Attorneys for Others

Attorneys for Others volunteers at St. Francis Center in 2019

LMU Loyola Law School partners with St. Francis Center to help feed the homeless every third Saturday of each month, in Downtown Los Angeles. Meet fellow Loyola alumni, staff, and student volunteers, and bring along family members and friends.

Alumnus and St. Francis Center board member John Horn '96 leads the kitchen, creating the breakfast menu and the cooking. As a volunteer, you will help John prepare and distribute a to-go breakfast and sit-down service to the Downtown Los Angeles homeless and hungry. Tasks include washing, dicing, and slicing all produce, cracking and whisking eggs, toasting and buttering bread, making coffee, assembling to-go containers, table captains, washing dishes and more! Masks are optional and gloves are required at all times.

Please sign up if you would like to volunteer by clicking the link below. Volunteers are needed even if you cannot stay for the full shift. Loyola Law School will be preparing breakfast for the homeless on the following dates:

St. Francis Center is committed to continue to serve our community on a daily basis. Due to the risk of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Los Angeles County, we are implementing preventative measures in the operations of our programs. Our priority is to protect the health and safety of our guests, volunteers, partners, and staff.  Based on recommendations from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), LA Regional Food Bank and California Association of Food Banks, we have compiled a COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Preparedness Plan for St. Francis center to implement immediately.
