Mobilities: A Conference on Migration and Disability
The Coelho Center is co-hosting this conference with International Refugee Assistance Project and the Human Rights Program at Barnard College, Columbia University. The conference will focus on the experiences of non-citizens with disabilities in the U.S. immigration system and will bring together experts from the fields of migration and disability with the goal of (1) developing information and resources that would be useful to asylum seekers and other migrants with disabilities and their legal advocates and (2) creating a coalition of disability organizations and immigration advocates who will work to set an agenda to further the rights of disabled immigrants. The conference is taking place on three consecutive Fridays starting April 29, 2022. Invite only.
