Core Requirements
The requirements for the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Specialization were developed by an advisory group of practitioners and academics, both alumni and friends of Loyola with the intent of preparing graduates to be exposed to the legal doctrines and skills necessary to be effective attorneys.
Required Courses
Successful completion of at least 4 of the following courses:
- Cyber & Risk Management & Incident Response (2 units)
- Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance (2 units)
Elective Courses (Please note that some courses are not offered every year.)
In addition to the required courses noted above, students in the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Specialization must successfully complete a minimum of 2 elective courses from the list below:
- Administrative Law (3 units)
- Advertising Law (2 units)
- California Privacy and Data Security Law (2 units)
- Cyber and Intellectual Property Crimes (2 units)
- Cybersecurity and AI Governance (1 unit)
- European Cybersecurity & Data Privacy (2 units)
- Generative AI in Legal Practice (2 units)
- Innovation Law (3 units)
- Intellectual Property in the Digital Age (2 units)
- Law and AI Lab (2 units)
- Law and Technology Lab (2 units)
- National Security: Law, Policy, & Technology (2 units)
- Race, Technology, and the Law (2 units)
- Smart Contracts and Decentralized Finance (2 units)
