Dia de los Muertos

La Raza de Loyola and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee invite you to celebrate Dia de los Muertos.

Day of the dead is a rich tradition of Mexico and Latin America that commemorates past ancestors by creating altars celebrating their lives. Ancient traditions include bright colored flowers to guide them home along with their favorite dishes. Come check it out!

A community altar by La Raza will be on display in the library from 10/30 - 11/2. All are encouraged to bring an "OFRENDA" or an offering that honors any loved one or person that has passed.

We will also host a Platica (talk) on the significance of Day of the Dead on Thursday, November 1st at 12 pm in the Multicutural Room (C404). Traditional sweet bread and café de olla will be available.
