Judicial Clerkships

Loyola Law School continues to celebrate decades of commitment to clerkships. In the past 15 years, more than 120 Loyola students have been awarded clerkships at federal and state courts throughout the country -- many of them serving members of the judiciary who are Loyola alumni themselves. Clerkship applicants typically have externed for a federal judge and participated in a unique mentoring program led by Loyola alumni.

The numbers tell the story: More than 55 percent of Loyola's applicants have obtained federal clerkships. This figure is considerably higher than that of any other law school in Southern California. And the number continues to grow thanks to a Clerkship Committee devoted to helping students secure federal clerkships and Office of Career Services personnel dedicated to helping students land state-court clerkships.
