Leilani Riehle is the Director of Operations for the Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic, meaning that she does everything within her power and skill set to advance the mission of the LSJLC and the efforts of its staff and faculty to do the same. That skill set includes bravery in the face of fire, grant-writing, designing operational systems, organizing stuff, and herding cats. This is her second career—her first career was as an academic at UCLA, where she earned a PhD in English, taught classes at all levels, and published on nineteenth-century British novels. (Wuthering Heights is a favorite.) She is in love with her daughters, her dogs, her city and Keanu Reeves.
