As a student in the inaugural Workers’ Rights Clinic, Jamie Nahamou was deeply committed to low-wage and immigrant workers and marginalized communities in Los Angeles. She demonstrated not only exceptional legal skills but also an innate ability to connect with clients on a human level all evident in every case she handled. Each individual felt heard, respected, and supported. Her clients faced issues of wage theft, retaliation, discrimination, and harassment, all stressful challenges.

Thanks to Jamie’s flexibility and understanding, she was able to navigate complex legal challenges while remaining sensitive to the diverse backgrounds and struggles of her clients. Her values of justice and equity were woven into every aspect of her work, making her a true advocate for those who needed advocacy most. Jamie’s leadership in the Workers’ Rights Clinic left a lasting impact on both her professors and the vulnerable communities she served, proving that her commitment to social justice is as strong as her legal skills.
