During his tenure at Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic (LIJC), Baylor Perry proved to be versatile and responsive to the needs of LIJC’s client community. As a first-year clinical student, Baylor and his advocacy partner helped an unaccompanied minor obtain Special immigrant Juvenile Status; this client is currently a freshman at LMU. Additionally, Baylor represented a community member from Dolores Mission who suffered labor trafficking upon arriving to the U.S. as a young adult.

Baylor has also played a key role in our Binational Migrant Advocacy Project. He completed our very first BMAP case by helping a 14-year-old Venezuelan girl reunify with her family members in the United States and filing her Special Immigrant Juvenile Petition. He also helped develop BMAP’s binational policy agenda and worked our very first student trip to Tijuana to serve migrants in transit. Baylor also regularly works at our Asylum Pro Se Workshop, helping recent arrivals obtain work authorization and submit their asylum applications in court.
