Nicole Schatz, Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution

Nicole Schatz started at LCCR in the Summer of 2022 as a student extern in the Dependency Court Mediation Clinic (DC-MAC) and has continued to work with us to provide excellent service to our clientele in their hour of need.  Nicole quickly honed the communication skills she learned at our training and was always the first one to jump in and volunteer to assist those in need of help.  Nicole was also ready at a moment’s notice to help on the phone or step into co-mediation with a staff member.  This past fall, Nicole returned to LCCR's Conciliation and Mediation Assistance Clinic (C-MAC) and continued to volunteer her time as a co-mediator during her final year hear at Loyola.  Nicole also assisted with LCCR’s Outreach efforts by conducting mediation presentations and consultations at LA County Bar Association ‘s Small Claim Clinic Workshops.  Nicole’s contribution is made even more extraordinary by the fact that during her tenure at LCCR she was also employed part-time and planning a wedding.  She was committed, dedicated and enthusiastic in helping us serve the community.  Nicole’s eagerness and enthusiasm to help others will be sorely missed.
