Law Reviews Write-On Competition

Law review is one of the most significant and prestigious forums for American legal scholarship. Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review (ELR), Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review (ILR), and Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review (LLR) are student-edited and student-run publications that provide students with intensive research, writing, and editing experiences and that provide for the publication of scholarly writing that contributes to the study of law.  Staff and editors are awarded academic credit on a “Pass/Fail” basis for satisfactory completion of assignments and other responsibilities.  ELR, ILR and LLR select staff members through the annual Write-On Competition. Competitors write an essay of approximately ten pages based on a packet of supplied research materials.  This essay is submitted along with the application packet and is reviewed by the current law review editors.  You may apply to one, two, or all three of Loyola’s law reviews through this competition.  You are encouraged to apply to all three.
