Loyola Law School was named among Billboard's "Leading Music Law Schools of 2017."

Loyola Law School, Los Angeles was named as one of the "Leading Music Law Schools of 2017" in the feature "Class of 2017: Music Law Schools" of its July 22, 2017 issue. One of just 12 law schools named to the list, Loyola is commended for its Entertainment & New Media Law and IP Law Concentrations, course offerings like Music Law and Licensing in a Global Context, programs such as Techtainment: Technology + Entertainment and student organizations like the Entertainment & Sports Law Society. Also considered were the Law School's Entertainment & Media Law Institute.

Additionally, Billboard cited as factors successful alumni such as Bill Colitre '02, vice president of Music Reports, and Damian Elahi '02, senior vice president of Business & Legal Affairs at Warner Bros. Records.
