Loyola's Project for the Innocent helps secure exoneration for wrongly accused

On May 30, 2014, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Kelvin Filer found Obie Steven Anthony innocent of the murder charges that sent him to prison for life in 1995.  Anthony, who served 17 years before he was exonerated by lawyers and students from the Loyola Law School Project for the Innocent and the Northern California Innocence Project, is now one step closer to moving forward with his claim for compensation from the state of California for his wrongful incarceration.
