Prof. Dougherty honored by prominent industry group for entertainment law contributions
Professor Jay Dougherty was named Public Counsel of the Year by the Association of Media & Entertainment Counsel (AMEC) for his work to further the field of entertainment law through the creation of the Loyola Entertainment & Media Law Institute and oversight of the Law School's Entertainment Law Concentration.
AMEC will bestow its Ninth-Annual Counsel of the Year Awards during a gala luncheon held at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on Friday, Jan. 10 at 11:30 a.m. Among the many attendees will be executives from the major studios and networks, along with the top entertainment and media law firms. Other recipients include in-house counsel and others who serve dealmakers in the entertainment industry with distinction.
