Prof. Caplan comments on Google privacy case
Professor Aaron Caplan commented on a Ninth Circuit panel affirmation of a lower court's refusal to reject a class action against Google for the way it captures home and business Wi-Fi data. In the story, "Google faces significant class action liability in privacy suit," Caplan said:
"The ruling against Google is key for the case because the court's interpretation of the Wiretap Act controls the future of the litigation."
