Attendance is free, but registration is required.
Breakfast and lunch will be served. RSVP by April 1, 2013

The Loyola Sports Law Institute and the Entertainment & Sports Law Society present "Current Developments in Player Health and Safety." The panels will focus on two cutting edge issues in professional and amateur sports: (1) drugs, doping and drug testing and (2) concussions and head trauma. Speakers will include both lawyers and scientists who are involved in the ongoing litigation and debate regarding these vitally important subjects. The luncheon speaker is Ryan Nece, a former UCLA and NFL linebacker and current Pac-12 network analyst.

In the afternoon, the UCLA Sports Law Federation will host a panel titled "3...2...1 -- Looking into the launch of Fox Sports 1." Executives from Fox’s corporate and legal departments will discuss the issues with launching a new network and the complex distribution deals that follow.
