Graham Sherr Esq., Assistant Dean
Graham Sherr is a 1980 graduate of Vanderbilt Law School and has been involved in legal recruiting and career counseling since leaving law practice in 1982. His combined legal experience as a law student and attorney includes stints at a state agency, two public interest programs and a large Los Angeles law firm. Prior to joining the Office of Career Services in 1994, Graham spent nearly 12 years as a legal "headhunter" placing attorneys in major Southern California law firms. In addition to counseling students and alumni, Graham works to expand the Law School's network of employers.
Marla Najbergier, Associate Director
Marla Najbergier has worked with the Office of Career Services since 1999. As assistant director, she is responsible for counseling and assisting with placement of recent graduates. Her seven years of recruiting and placement experience prior to working at Loyola lends itself well to advising students on the job search and interviewing process.
Jill Rowse, Associate Director
Jill Rowse has been a colleague at a neighboring law school, serving as acting director and then director of Career Services before joining our office in July 2002. Her background includes extensive experience working in a variety of practice-oriented legal settings, in addition to working with students and administrators as assistant registrar in a law school. Jill serves as a career advisor for students, develops and presents workshops and panels for students and cultivates both traditional and alternative employment opportunities.
Karyn Ihara, Assistant Director
Karyn Ihara joined Loyola Law School as an Assistant Director of Career Services in 2008. She graduated from UCLA with a double major in Communication Studies and Sociology. She has over 3 years of experience as an external recruiter in both the legal and finance industries. Prior to that, she worked in the legal department of a large, publicly traded company. Although her primary responsibilities are to review resumes, conduct mock interviews, and offer career advice, she also assists with and spearheads several programs and panels.
Brooke Loesby, Esq., Assistant Director
Brooke Loesby became a member of the Career Services staff in 2008. She enjoys sharing her life coaching skills and experience in firm recruitment to assist Loyola Law School students in pursuing their career goals. Brooke is a certified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and teacher of Kundalini Yoga. Her background includes work as a legislative assistant on Capitol Hill, labor and employment associate for Akin Gump and contract attorney for Quinn Emanuel. Brooke received her Juris Doctor cum laude from Pepperdine University Law School in 2006.
Megumi T. Horinouchi, Recruitment Coordinator
As the Recruitment Coordinator for the Office of Career Services, Megumi Tomatsu Horinouchi is responsible for organizing the annual Fall and Spring On-Campus Interview Programs. Before joining Loyola Law School, she worked at UCLA where she also earned her bachelor's degree.
Mickie Okamoto-Tsudama, Career Services Coordinator
Mickie Okamoto-Tsudama is a native of Los Angeles, earning her bachelor’s degree from UCLA and her master’s degree in Public Administration from Cal State Northridge. Prior to joining Loyola Law School, she worked as a special events coordinator at a non-profit dedicated to supporting underserved children through foster care, adoption, and childcare.
Vanessa Bustamante, Senior Career Services Assistant
Before coming to Loyola Law School, Vanessa Bustamante served in the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid at Pasadena City College. She also worked in the Office of Residential Life and the Educational Leadership & Policy Studies Department at California State University, Northridge. There she received her B.A. in Chicana/o Studies and Communication Studies.
