Carmen M. Chavez is celebrating her 15th year at Casa Cornelia Law Center. 

David M. deRubertis was lead trial counsel in the largest ever Sarbanes-Oxley retaliation verdict case, Zulfer v. Playboy Enterprises, Inc. (verdict in March 2014).


Caroline R. Djang was elevated to partner at Rutan & Tucker, LLP, California’s largest full-service business law firm.  Djang is co-chair of the Corporate Restructuring and Creditors' Rights Group and a member of Rutan's Business Litigation Department.


John W. Kim has formed the Financial Services and Bankruptcy Law Group. This new firm will focus on creditor banks for secured and unsecured creditors on mid-sized and large business bankruptcy cases.


Jeffrey N. Labovitch joined the Chicago, IL law firm of Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP as senior counsel.

Trevor Stockinger launched the firm Kesselman, Brantly & Stockinger LLP, specializing in antitrust and business litigation.


Pankit Doshi was elected partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, LLP in San Francisco. Pankit's specialty is litigation with an emphasis on labor and employment defense.


Staci Jennifer Riordan has joined the IP Counseling and Transactions practice of Nixon Peabody in Los Angeles as a partner leading the fashion law team.

Jamal Tooson was recently named to the Top 100 National Criminal Defense Trial Lawyers.


Kristen Nesbit was named partner at Fisher & Phillips L.A., where her practice focuses on employment litigation and client counseling. Nesbit was recognized in 2013 by Lawyers of Color Inc. on their “Hot List” for minority attorneys under 40 in the Western Region.

Amy Siegel was named partner at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where she is a member of the Entertainment, Sports and Media Practice in the Century City office. 


Anthony J. (Tony) Ippolito was named partner at the Orange County law firm of Snell & Wilmer, effective January 1, 2015.  Ippolito advises companies and their owners in business transactions and securities law matters. He was also named a “Rising Star” by Southern California Super Lawyers Magazine for 2013 and 2014.

Katherine Macfarlane will be joining the faculty at the University of Idaho College of Law this fall as an Associate Professor of Law, teaching Civil Procedure and Constitutional Law.

Alex Mircheff has been elected to partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.  Mircheff focuses his practice on securities and appellate litigation. 

Shannon C. Treviño has been elected to the role of counsel at Latham & Watkins LLP in the Corporate Department.  She primarily advises public companies on corporate, securities and governance matters.

Anastasia Mazzella welcomes Roman Mazzella, born May 29, 2014 (joining big brother Luke, born December 30, 2009). She has also been promoted to Managing Attorney of Kabateck Brown Kellner in May 2015.


Michael Galey was promoted to partner at Fisher & Phillips LLP in Philadelphia , effective on January 1, 2015.

Ibiere Seck, currently at The Cochran Firm in California, was named to the 2015 National Bar Association's "40 Under 40" list.


Christopher K. Poling,whom specializes in corporate, employment, real estate and homeowners’ association law joins the Richardson Harman Ober PC as an associate attorney.

Marjorie Williams, currently at Viacom, was named to the 2015 National Bar Association's "40 Under 40" list.
