Jason Skolnik was elected partner at San Diego based firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Skolnik has a corporate and securities focus and represents companies in a wide variety of industries, including biotech, medical devices, media, and entertainment.
Kristen Nesbit was honored by business publication L.A. Biz in its 2016 “Women of Influence” list. Nesbit, a partner at Fisher & Phillips LLP, concentrates her practice on employment litigation and client counseling. She defends employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour matters and wrongful termination.
Ashley McDow, elevated to partner at BakerHostetler’s Los Angeles office, practices bankruptcy and commercial law, representing debtors in possession, creditor committees, Chapter 7 and 11 trustees, and parties to adversary actions. Ashley has authored numerous publications and is the 2016 chair of the Executive Committee of the Commercial Law Section and secretary of the Executive Committee of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Neyleen Ortiz Beljajev launched the firm Beljajev Law Group, PC, specializing in business law. This firm will focus on taking on legal issues for business, including litigation, allowing business owners to devote their energy to building the business. Neyleen is also the 99th President of the Long Beach Bar Association.
Lindsay Gehman was elected to partner at San Francisco-based firm Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass LLP. Gehmen serves as outside general counsel to a variety of technology companies and advertising and marketing agencies, and advises business teams on diverse and complex corporate and securities law matters.
Carolyn Pearson was elected to the Oregon Women Lawyers’ Queen’s Bench, Board of Directors for the 2016-2017 term.
Matthew K. Skarin is now a Certified Family Law Specialist. Matthew is a Family Law Attorney at Feinberg Mindel Brandt & Klein, LLP in Los Angeles. Matt handles the following Family Law matters: divorce, prenuptial agreements, child support, alimony & spousal support, and custody & visitation.
