50 Years at Albany: A Campus Ahead of Its Time

A message from Dean Victor Gold:

Join in the Celebration! This is no ordinary year. The Loyola Law School Community is proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Albany Street campus.  We’ve grown from one building to an academic village consuming an entire city block in Downtown Los Angeles. We’ve also become a leading international institution, comprised of an alumni network with over 16,000 graduates residing in 31 countries and innovative centers, clinics and programs serving clients throughout the world.

Loyola’s campus has an unparalleled set of facilities, professors who are top legal scholars and dedicated classroom teachers, students striving to be leaders in their field and an institution dedicated to supporting the public interest. Over the next year, we will celebrate the countless number of ways alumni have demonstrated excellence in their profession, dedication to social justice and a commitment to serving their community.

We have transformed and expanded over the years, but throughout the significant growth experienced during our 50 years at Albany, the Law School has remained deeply committed to our mission of educating and empowering men and women who will be leaders of both the legal profession and society.

More information about planned activities and ways to get involved with the 50th at Albany Anniversary Celebration will be posted here, on the website, as well as in monthly messages that we will be sending out to the Loyola community.

I look forward to celebrating with all of you during 2014 and sharing the many innovative achievements that make us the Law School we are today!
