London Summer International IP Institute

About the Program

Intellectual property is one of the most vibrant growth areas in law practice. It is also a field that is inherently international. Since the establishment of the WTO (with its IP-specific TRIPS Agreement), national IP law and policies are largely mandated by international law. In addition, an elaborate system of recognition now permits IP holders to obtain national IP rights throughout the world. Familiarity with the structure and operation of the emerging international intellectual property system is essential for practitioners in this arena.

Highlights

  • Takes place in London - home of the most law firms practicing IP litigation on an international scale.
  • Features an all day field trip to Brussels to meet with European Union officials. Time permitting an additional trip may be taken to visit the Inns of Court
  • Enrollment is limited to 60 students. This ensures classes will be small and personal - facilitating meaningful interactions between students and faculty.
