Law School to Honor Governor of Hawaii

Los Angeles -- The Honorable Benjamin J. Cayetano, Governor of Hawaii, will receive the honor of Loyola Law School of Los Angeles’ “Distinguished Alumnus of the Year” at the 2002 Grand Reunion on Thursday, March 20 at the Beverly Hilton. Cayetano is a 1971 graduate of Loyola Law. John T. Gurash, retired chairman and CEO with INACORP (CIGNA) will be named “Special Honoree” and Professor of Law Emeritus. Katherine W. Tate will be presented with the “Distinguished Career Service Award.”

During the evening, recipients of the 2002 Board of Governors Award also will be recognized. This year’s recipients are Adrienne Byers (Class of 1989) John P. Miller (Class of 1971), Hon. Richard Montes (Class of 1967), David Pasternak (Class of 1976) and Professor of Law William Hobbs.
