STUDENTS
UNITE TO STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
LOS ANGELES
-- The Day Student Bar Association of Loyola Law School, downtown Los
Angeles, is kicking-off its branch of the "Call to Protect" program and
is urging your donation of old and unwanted cell phones. The Call to Protect
program is a joint effort between the Wireless Foundation and the National
Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Call to Protect reprograms old cell
phones to automatically dial 911, or a crisis hotline, at the touch of
a button. It then distributes the used cell phones to battered women shelters.
Your donation may potentially save a life by providing a cell phone to
an abuse victim who has been now enabled to call for help from any location.
If you
would like to make a cell phone donation, arrangements will be made for
your donation to be picked up. Please call Loyola Law School at (213)
736-1008 or email: calltoprotect@yahoo.com.
