Jose Miguel Azpurua Alfonzo
José Miguel Azpúrua Alfonzo holds a Law Degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Venezuela) and two Masters of Laws (LLM ) from New York University School of Law, where he also obtained an Advanced Professional Certificate in law and business. He also holds a Master of Science in Public Policy from the University of London (UCL). As an academic, he has been a lecturer in business law at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and Professor of Economic Analysis of Law at Universidad Monteávila (Caracas, Venezuela). Before enrolling at Loyola Law School, José was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School, where he conducted research on behavioral economics and the law. Throughout his practice, he has worked as a corporate attorney specialized in international business transactions with Latin America. He is admitted to practice in New York and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
José's dissertation analyzes the multilateralization of competition policy in connection with existing legal frameworks on international trade.
