Job Description Summary:

Loyola Law School is looking for a PUBLIC SERVICES ASSISTANT to join the William M. Rains Law Library team. Regular schedule will be Sunday 9am-9pm; Monday, 4pm-midnight and Tuesday-Thursday day hours. Schedule will vary during the summer and exam periods.

The Assistant will provide library service for the faculty and students. The primary duties and responsibilities will include opening and closing the Library, loose leaf filing, copy cataloging, maintaining the circulation desk area and ensuring the efficiency of circulation operations.

Education:

Two years college preferred.

Experience:

Some library experience preferred.

Knowledge/Ability:

The successful candidate will have basic computer skills; excellent customer service skills and effective oral and written communication skills. Must also be able to learn and use legal terminology and legal reference tools and be able to operate photocopiers, audio-visual equipment and computer terminals.
