Job Description Summary:
The Assistant will serve as main point of reception for the Office of Career Services; provide information to students and alumni on the use of career services and resources; provide factual information on programs, job application, deadlines and procedures; handle and direct telephone inquiries; handle distribution of front desk materials; provide secretarial support for the Assistant Dean and the Assistant Directors, as needed.
Education:
High school diploma required, supplemented by coursework in office procedures and other related subjects.
Experience:
As least three years of progressively responsible clerical experience, preferably in higher education.
Knowledge/Ability:
Modern office practices and procedures. Operation of various office machines. Working knowledge of MS Word. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
