Loyola Law School Alternative Spring Break: El Paso

Loyola Law School is launching a new experiential course titled “Immigration Law and The Border,” which will expose students to current policy issues and afford them the opportunity to engage in removal defense work in El Paso, Texas.

As part of the course, students will travel with Loyola Law School faculty to El Paso, Texas, to participate in an immersive alternative spring break in March 2018. During the trip, students will engage in a variety of activities including visits to the border, ICE detention centers and the Executive Office of Immigration Review. Students will work closely with a local nonprofit, United Neighborhood Organization (UNO), to conduct consultations, complete legal research and make in-court appearances on behalf of migrants facing U.S. removal proceedings.
