Dean Weiner passed away on February 14 but the Law School is leaving up his webpage for the rest of the 07-08 academic year as a memorial to him and a tribute to his accomplishments and his contributions to the law school.

Dean Weiner has extensive experience in tax-exempt securities, leveraged leasing, low-income housing and historic rehabilitation tax credit financings, energy financings, collateralized mortgage obligations, energy industry transition bonds and other highly tax-influenced financings and financial products. He also has extensive experience in corporate restructurings and reorganizations. Weiner has acted as general financial counsel for numerous taxable and tax-exempt entities. He was recently heavily engaged in tax planning advice to start-up and technology companies. Dean has been a partner of the O’Melveny & Myers LLP since 1983. He began teaching part-time in 1996 and joined Loyola Law School as a distinguished lecturer in 2006.
