Background

After graduation from law school, Jean Boylan practiced with the Century City law firm of Gibbs, Giden, Locher and Acret specializing in construction litigation.  She made partner in 1991. She also served as a volunteer attorney and board member for The HeArt Project, an arts education program for high-risk youth in Los Angeles. She joined the Loyola Law School faculty in 1996. In 2010, Boylan became Loyola's first associate dean of experiential education. Boylan teaches Ethical Lawyering, Fundamentals of Bar Writing and Legal Drafting. In 2005, Loyola students voted her Professor of the Year.
